DWP just annouced their undergrounding schedule, and exactly what they will and will not do.
Homeowners will be responsible for the under-grounding from their home (meter), to the side walk. The city will not be paying for the portion of work.
DWP will be responsible for bringing power to your sidewalk.
The homeowner’s undergrounding responsibility will include creating plans, permitting, 6 inspections, digging a trench, and laying a conduit (pipe) in the trench.
Two local companies have partnered to offer a seamless solution. Decision Construction (Justin Skaggs) and Pali Construction have come together to make things easier for residents. They do everything.
